About DreadIndex

DreadIndex is a comprehensive benchmark designed to evaluate the offensive cyber security capabilities of language models. Developed by Dreadnode, it measures how well models perform across a range of adversarial security tasks including vulnerability discovery, exploit generation, and red team operations.

Each model is evaluated against a standardized set of challenges that reflect real-world offensive security scenarios. Scores represent overall performance across all evaluation categories, normalized to a 0-100 scale.

Each task also passes through the evaluation analysis pipeline: independent analyzers that look for cheating, scope violations, refusals, and evaluation errors, and record performance.
